Story:

John Q tells the story of a man, John Archibald (Denzel Washington), who is having trouble making ends meet. Since his work week has been cut from 40 hours to 20 hours, he has been unable to keep up with payments on his wife's car. When his son, Mike (Daniel E. Smith), collapses on a baseball field and is diagnosed as needing a heart transplant, John is confident that things will be okay, because he has medical insurance. Unfortunately, it turns out that his Tier II coverage doesn't cover $250,000 operations. The hospital director, Rebecca Payne (Anne Heche), refuses to put Mike's name on the organ recipient list until John can cover the $75,000 downpayment. The cardiologist, Dr. Turner (James Woods), claims that the matter is out of his hands. But John's wife, Denise (Kimberly Elise), screams at him that he has to do something. So he does - he takes everyone in the hospital's emergency room hostage. When the police, led by the crusty negotiator Grimes (Robert Duvall) and the chief of police, Monroe (Ray Liotta), arrive, he presents his demand: he will release the hostages when his son has a new heart. Otherwise, he will start killing them.

Story:

In a girls High school in South Korea, a girl named Min-Ah discovers a diary. Unable to resist the temptation to take a deep look at it, Min-Ah decides to take the diary with her. When she begins the reading of the diary, she noticed that it was not a simple diary but a diary that two girls from his school shared. They wrote their own messages to each other through the diary. Hyo-Shin and Shi-Eun who wrote the shared-diary together was very close friends but during the time this friendship turned into love.

Reading the diary and spying on these two girls, Min-Ah noticed that something strange was going on between the two girls. The diary was full of love messages but it seemed that they acted like they didn't know each other, was it really because they were afraid of what people would say if they knew what was going on or it was something else. One day, Hyo-Shin is found dead, she apparently jumped from the top of the school to his death, but Min-Ah knew that Shi-Eun was with her at that time. After that tragic death, various rumors surrounding this event spread throughout the school and Min-Ah begins to feel a strange presence in the school, like someone was spying and tricking her. The spirit of Hyo-Shin is back from the dead, haunting the school.

Story:

NAH Young-ju is a clerk at the district office, who spends most of her days reading horoscopes from tabloids. Despite of her usual appearance and her unusual personality, Young-ju firmly believes in her own extraordinary charms, which are yet to be discovered by the world. In other words, her life is nothing but ordinary.

Then one day, when a blue eyed foreigner walks into the district office with a civil petition, her monotonous life takes a dramatic turn. Young-ju, who has never won a single bet in her life, is chosen to be the lucky one to attend English class for free!

For the first time in her life, Young-ju goes to English academy. And the best part of the whole situation is that her tuition is paid by the government. After a placement test, she is placed in the basic introductory level class. However, before she even memorizes the alphabet, she falls madly in love a 3rd class playboy Moon-su. The enchanting love moment is when Moon-su finds Young-ju’s shoe, which she loses while getting on the elevator, and kindly put it back on her foot! Little did she know, his friendly action is only a form of his occupational disease [Note: Moon-su is a shoe salesman]. To Young-ju, he is the prince charming she’s been waiting for all her life! And to win him over, who outwardly swears that he’ll propose in English when he meets the love of his life, she completely submerges herself in learning English.

From swallowing the pages of English dictionary to family involvement method of daily conversational English, Young-ju tries every known method of learning English. However, even after her determined effort and study, will she be able to win over his heart in just 90 days?
